Alright party people, it’s time to dust off those bell bottoms, grab your friends, and get ready to boogie! ApCal Rock’N Ranch is throwin’ it back with a Kool & the Gang tribute concert that’s all about R&B and feel-good funk.  

 

The tribute band, Ladies Night, is here to bring you all the hits that’ll have you dancing like you just stepped out of a Soul Train line—think “Ladies Night,” (the song that inspired the tribute band Ladies Night) “Celebration,” and “Jungle Boogie”. It’s the kind of music that’ll have you and your crew cutting loose. Seriously, these beats will make you wanna groove all night long. 

 

And the vibe? It’s laid-back but totally electric. General admission means you can BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair) and pick your perfect spot to groove or chill. Feeling fancy? Snag a VIP ticket for a reserved table, bar access, and the best view of the stage. And let’s talk food—because you know we gotta eat good. Hit up the food trucks for street tacos, juicy burgers, and more munchies to keep you fueled for a night of non-stop dancing. Need to take a breather? Chill by the wine-shaped bonfires or hit the photo booth to get those Insta-worthy group pics. 

 

Kool & the Gang: The Funk Masters 

 

So, who the heck are Kool & the Gang, and why are we getting all hyped up about ‘em? Well, they’re only one of the baddest, funkiest, most soulful bands to ever come out of Jersey City. Formed way back in 1964, these guys basically invented the soundtrack to every epic dance party in the ‘70s and ‘80s. With hits like “Get Down On It,” “Hollywood Swinging,” (Pretty iconic.) and “Cherish,” their music is straight-up feel-good magic. Check out their story here if you’re interested. They’re widely known as the kings of funk. 

Ladies Night, the tribute band, is bringing all that Kool & the Gang energy to ApCal with a set that’s packed with funk, soul, and some serious dance moves. Trust me, it’s a night you won’t want to miss. Seriously, last year they had everyone going crazy on the dance floor. You’ll be grooving ALL night long.  

 

Special Guest: The Licorice Pimpz 

Before Ladies Night hits the stage, Fresno’s very own The Licorice Pimpz will be throwing down their signature blend of R&B, Soul, and Funk from 7-8 PM. These guys brought the house down at the last Funk Festival, so you know you’ll have a really good time.
